The March for the Alternative on Saturday 26 March was absolutely incredible. Perhaps more than 500,000 people took to the streets against the government’s cuts.
Molly, a college student from Woking marched on the REVOLUTION contingent.
“The march 26th demo, vast as it was in scale showed huge amount of anger and resistance from people all over the country, from all walks of life. It was a huge turning point in the public response to the Con-Dem government’s cuts programme. No-one is fooled by the media’s attempt to dismiss the movement as just made up of “violent youth” any more. On Saturday we all stood together. This is of great importance. Now we need to force the government out with a general strike.”
